Miss Baldwin with Kathy and Willy Hodge--1957
| Description | : | Miss Baldwin, friend of Harriet Bentley and the director
for many years, came to Winnemont from the Philadelphia area where she had been connected with The Friends School. While the director, she made her home in Arlington, MA, with her sister Miss Mary Baldwin, who ran the camp store. Kathy and Willy met at Winnemont when she was a councilor and he was on staff. Willy came from Winchester, MA, and started at Winnemont as a teenager working with the kitchen staff. Over the years, he took on various other jobs, such as managing the CIT training program and camp security. Kathy was in charge of planning the daily activities. They became Miss Baldwin's assistant directors. Off season, Willy taught school in the Conway, NH, area. |
