Now that I have grandchildren, am aware how many Winnemont songs are still in my musical bloodstream. We sang at campfires, in the dining room, and on many other occasions at camp, and I can still burst into Winnemont songs. "As the evening shadows lengthen, and the day begins to go...we will light our evening campfire, gather round it's cheery glow..." I have some black and white prints of a production of HMS Pinafore, and it seemed like most skits and performances involved music, often vocal. Hope there are many around who still carry these songs with them, as I do! _________________ Sister of a Wyanoker; Winnemont camper |

So, Alex, I couldn't let this day go by without posting to you - your post has been sitting here for one year, lonely, sad, and looking for company! So, I am saying Hello!, Happy New Year, Be My Valentine, Let's Have A Beer on St Patrick's Day, and don't forget to file your taxes next month (boo!). _________________ C-1 49 J-7 52 S-3 55 J-10 58

Good to hear from you, David! The songs, the hikes, the campfires from Winnemont are still very much with me. Cherry trees in bloom here, amid much rain and wind. _________________ Sister of a Wyanoker; Winnemont camper |

I remember you Alex Harris. You were younger than I was. I attended Camp 1958- until it sad closing. I too remember many camp songs but one of my fondest memories was first listening to then participating in Sunday night sing of the Lord's Prayer on the steps outside the rec hall. _________________ Now Elizabeth Lowell |
