A rare sight indeed taking place in Wolfeboro! He has more than passed his "Wharf Test"!

This is an unusual sight in Wolfeboro, indeed!

Other YouTube videos show similar "swimming" by Bald Eagles, but they're usually dragging their fish-sandwich "lunch" behind them. Very Happy

OK, not only do Wolfeboro bald eagles fly, fish, and hunt much better than I do, they also do the breast stroke much better than I ever did, despite Dan Mannis' and Pat Freeland's best efforts. I don't know why, I just never got the coordinated hang of that one.

My 1st year at Wyanoke was as a Junior in J-9 in 1956! Wow . . . . I was 10 . . . . . . . 63 years ago! Hard to believe . . . . .

Back then we did not have to wear swim trunks during swim . . . . . at least during '56, '57 and perhaps '58 . . . . . . only on Sundays when female guests would be around. As the Lake became more crowded with more speed boats coming close to the Jr/Sr. wharf it was decided that swim trunks would be necessary. Not sure what the ratio of female to male onlookers might have been that may have caused this dramatic change in Camp swim policy! Smile

Anyway . . . . . any swim stroke that one chose to perform was accomplished faster and with greater ease without trunks . . . . . . even the Wharf Test!

Respectfully submitted,

Jim
