Near the end of August, a gentleman I am friends with here in Wolfeboro suffered a serious stroke, and is slowly making progress toward recovery. So, what is the Wyanoke connection.

The gentleman, Pete Caesar, is a Life Trustee of Camp Agawam, in Maine, and knew Garth Nelson very well. To add to the Wyanoke connection, he lives here in Wolfeboro, and, he lives in the Midget Chapel, and was responsible for moving the Doctor's Cabin (Mr Risser's cabin) from its location to a spot near the Midget Chapel where it is used as a summertime guest cottage.

Pete is currently in recovery and therapy mode at the Mountain View Community (a county nursing home) in nearby Ossipee. I have talked with his family and any prayers and well wishes would be thankfully appreciated.

An update on the progress of Pete Caesar. A couple of weeks ago Pete was able to be transferred to his home from the nursing home facility he was in, a major step in his recovery. However, the road to recovery is long, the muscle retraining is strenuous, and the family dynamic is stressed. Pete is a strong-willed, determined person, so I have every reason to believe that he will make a recovery, even though a difficult and arduous path lies ahead of him. He has wonderful professional assistance, and his family is 24/7 devoted to his well-being.

Sorry to hear this. At the reunion in Wolfboro hosted by Tom Falcon, Tom took a few of us to meet Peter and he gave us a tour of his home/Midget Chapel. Very nice man. Please give him my best and I hope his recovery is as full as possible.
