Hi Dave
Thank you for your post about the fish I cought when I was 10 years old. I do remember that well. That was 60 years ago. The fish I cought was 3 1/4 lb small Mouth Bass.
I was wondering if anyone one had any information on an old friend of mine from camp Park Palmer from Mass. I would love to hear from him. I remember the brook and bridle stables and the socco river trip. I remember winning the 100 yeard dash and the broad jump in my senior year at camp.
I am a retired high school teacher and I live outside of the Philadelphia area with my wife Peggy. I have one daughter Leslie.
I am very happy my daughter helped me find this web site. Look forward to maybe hearing from somemore old friends. I will never forget the wonderful experiances I had at Wyanoke.
Take care,
Dom |

Hi Dom, welcome back to Wyanoke.
Where is the post by Dave Bentley about the fish you caught? I must have missed that, which means I may have missed a lot more. What topic was it under?
Did you win the Wendy Carr Fishing Trophy with that fish? I don't know when it was first awarded, but I think I remember it at the Farewell Banquet in '57, my first full summer at Wyanoke. It was the biggest trophy on the table and everybody wanted it, including me. I, however, never caught anything bigger than a guppy -- wait, I once caught one of those bone-bags they call a sunfish -- and the winner of the trophy always seemed to have caught the winning fish with a helgrammite. I was afraid of helgrammites, so the Wendy Carr was forever out of my reach. I mean, look at these things!
Anyway, if you did win the WCFT, do you still have it, and if so, I'd love to see a picture of it.
By the way, you go far enough back that the old mill was still in Johnson Cove, net to Land's End. Did you find that picture? It's on Page 3 of the "Some Slides from Mike Freeland" album in the personal photo albums. Bob Kennington sent me that. Took me back years. _________________ '56-C-9 C. Mosher '57-C-9 Bill Feaster
