Just a thought. While watching the Olympics I can't help but think of the wide array of sports & activities offered @ Wyanoke. You?
I was partial to the free style, back-stroke, water polo, soccer, high jump, mountain climbing & so much more. What a wonderful experience & one that lasts a lifetime. Even Mad Magazine left lasting impressions.

Good to hear from you, Doug! And yes, Wyanoke offered us the opportunity to explore new adventures and skills while having fun doing it. So many activities come to mind when I think of Wyanoke and in particular the Saco River canoe and Presidential Range trips.
Good to see that you are in NC. My favorite spot is the Outer Banks (Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head, Rodanthe). I would love to live there some day, even if it's just part-time. Nothing like the charm of the NC coast. I've been to Atlantic Beach . . . . . . very nice area! The Outer Banks is about 4.5 hours from me in VA and just far enough away to prevent an every weekend type of trip. I usually like to go during the fall after all the crowds are gone! _________________ '56 - J-9 J. Moulton

Post a reply? What about the subject? Whatever. Nice to have a fello camper with inspiration boot me to the front of the message board.
I'm not real savvy @ this sort of thing but here goes...it's OK down here in Beaufort/Atlantic Beach, NC. Running a rental boat business in the area with 19' Carolina Skiffs & 23' pontoons.
Always liked the water...ocean, saco & or otherwise.
Bottom line, I couldn't afford CT so I moved to NC. |

What a dead end my message left. I would like to hear from every camper around. Thanks. Geoff Smith? Pat Freeland? Garth? Charlie?, & all the rest that made a difference. |
