It is with a heavy heart, and deep, deep sadness, that I report the untimely death of my younger brother, Pete.
This past Sunday he suffered a massive stroke and did not survive.
His wife, his son, and his daughter were all with him at the hospital, and to them I am eternally grateful that they saw to it that his last hours were comfortable and dignified, and without suffering.
May God bless you, little brother, R.I.P. _________________ C-1 49 J-7 52 S-3 55 J-10 58

My sincere condolences Dave. I met your brother early in my time at Wyanoke but did not get to know him very well. It is always difficult when one loses someone close, particularly a family member.
My Best,

I should say at the outset that I just called and spoke to David on the phone, so I expressed my thoughts, condolences and told him that he and his family are in my prayers.
I knew Peter not only as the son of the camp director, but as the brother of one of my very best friends growing up. I saw Peter on occasion in Winchester, and during the several summers when he was a camper.
Times like these are always difficult. Fortunately, he did not linger and suffer in pain. _________________ 1951: C-9. F. Whitemore, P. Durkee.

Oh Dave, I'm so sorry to hear that! I don't know how I missed your post! You certainly have my most sincere condolences.
I last saw Pete, I think, at the 1995 Camp reunion, and I do remember him from visits to Camp. He had your easy-going, affable personality your dad must have passed on to you, as I recall
My heart goes out to you and the family.
