There was a hit-and-run boat collision (the hit boat was unmanned... err sorry, "unpersoned") in Winter Harbor in Wolfeboro on August 12th.

The photos suggest to me that it may have occurred near camp. The top photo has a familiar white boathouse across the harbor. But there are probably many of those.

In other news the JA's, armed with bow saws, will be looking for some young evergreen trees later this week.

Yes, Wolfeboro strikes again in the national news.
The accident happened in Winter Harbor, on the shore opposite camp, and well down the shoreline toward Libby Museum. The site was about at the "corner" where Winter Harbor turns to go to Libby Museum. There are several white boathouses populating the far shore these days.
Apparently, a 50' fiberglass boat with several people onboard, crashed over a dock and a wooden HackerCraft boat. There has been no mention of injuries, and the specifics are being closely guarded. There may be a lot more to this than we are being told. New Hampshire Marine Patrol and several other law enforcement agencies are investigating.
You can go to www.winnipesaukee.com and get a lot more information. One of the posters, identified as ApS is a Wyanoker camper who lives on the shore directly across, adjacent to the 'old' seaplane base.

So, Wolfeboro had food store burn down, a boat ran over another boat, and, sadly, a jet skier ran up and over another jet skier killing the operator.

That's enough publicity for this year.
