I have often wondered what happened to the camper rosters, and was excited to see that they have been posted online.
I remember that all of the "Midgets" were brought into the large building in Cabintown to see something "important". There was a little '50s black and white TV with rabbit ears sitting on a table, and we watched Neil Armstrong step onto the moon.
Looking at the old dining hall pictures, I noticed that the plates were stacked at the counselor's seat at the end of the table. I had forgotten that.
Saturday night was beans and brown bread.
How many times did we hear "Mrs. Murphy's Chowder" at campfire?
The guy with the green Ford pickup who put ice in the water cooler (Freddie?)
I miss those days. It seems so long ago.
It would be great to hear from other Cabintown dwellers ('68-'70) _________________ Cabintown, '68,'69,'70 |

I enjoyed reading your post! I was a Cabintown JC and Councilor from 62-64 so I missed you by 4 years. But I bet you guys still had "bug juice" in those 3 gallon jugs during your cookouts! Always enjoyed the Cabintown Fairs.
Mike has a DVD available covering the years 1962 -1975. The DVD memories are worth far more than the small purchase price . . . . lots of Cabintown Fair footage.
