from the news wires this morning:
A herpes outbreak at St. Peter's Prep in Jersey City has forced the school to close early for the holiday break. Five members of the wrestling team tested positive for the type of herpes transmitted when skin comes in contact with open lesions. The disease is not the form of herpes that is sexually transmitted. One wrestler at Nutley High School, which had a match against St. Peter's, also tested positive.

Norm Risser... and wasn't he the wrestling coach at Nutley High? I think he was back in the day-- is shaking his head in heaven in dismay at this new evidence of poor hygeine in young men: "Now, boys, you got to wash your hands. Scrub 'em hard with the Brillo pad and get all the grease and rust off and dry them thoroughly. If you don't get all the grease and rust off your hands after wrestling with 'em, you're gonna get sick. First, you'll be afraid you're gonna die. Then, you'll be afraid you're NOT gonna die."
