I was thinking the other day that there are some aspects of Wyanoke history that we haven't really looked at in these past nine years of this forum, so I thought I's solicit some information from some of you "old folks," who might remember something about these people.
The first who came to mind was Joe Brawley, a guy from the Red Sox, I think, who would come to camp and hold baseball clinics during quiet hour or after dinner. Since I wasn't a baseball player, I never understood a word of it. He seemed ancient (this is 1957, so he may have been in his 40s - ancient in my 10-year-old eyes.)
Now I'm wondering what his story was, where he came from, how he came to Wyanoke. This probably won't mean anything to those of you who started at Wyanoke later than about 62.
Anyone have any input here? _________________ '56-C-9 C. Mosher '57-C-9 Bill Feaster
